Acupuncture stimulates specific acupoints and meridians of the human body to regulate (qi) and blood in the organs, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing and treating diseases. Acupuncture uses metal needles to penetrate acupoints to regulate qi and blood and dredge meridians; moxibustion uses moxa sticks or moxa rolls to burn acupoints to warm qi and blood, dispel cold and relieve pain. Its treatment principle is similar to that of traditional Chinese medicine.
